COOL OFF AND DE-STRESS

1Be cool as a cucumber - for real!
Cucumbers are mostly water, so eating them helps prevent the fatigue and stress linked to dehydration. Plus, cucumber seeds contain the amino acid cucurbitin, which has anti-inflammatory, moisture-regulating, soothing properties!

2 Refresh with a long, hot soak!
A hot bath not only relaxes you, it cools you off by pulling heat out of your body and into the water. Bonus: When you step out of the hot water, the air around you feels nippy!

3 Take the edge off with a bit of blue!
Because we associate blue with positive images, such as blue skies and blue water, seeing it makes you feel calmer and more upbeat, studies show. And wearing the hue helps protect you from the sun: New York University research shows blue blocks UV light, boosting your sun protection by up to 500%!

4 Beat the heat with peppermint gum!
Chewing gum releases tension by relaxing tight jaw and facial muscles, while the icy, fresh scent of peppermint helps calm your nervous system; it's potent enough to quiet cravings, quell nausea and  ease headaches, too!

5 Subdue stess with a cold soda can!
Soothe aching overheated feet by rolling them over an icy cold water bottle. Or hold the bottle against your neck. It will cool a main artery, helping you feel 10 to 15 degrees cooler instantly!
