Overcoming Fear & Doubt

Ref.: 2 Timothy 1:7; Joshua 1:3; Exodus 13:17 & 18; Romans 8:31; 1 Samuel 16 & 17

Father God,

Fear has brought torment into my life. I have brought fear into my life by being insecure. I pray that I would keep growing in faith, because the person who is right with You lives by trusting in You. Because faith overcomes fear. I know that You did not give me a spirit that makes me afraid, but a spirit of Power and Love and self-control. So I pray that I would stand up to fear, or I know that it won't go away. I know that You are bringing me out of bondage and into the promised land. You are always bringing me out of something and into something else, but there is always a "going through" phase. I know, Father, that You do not lead me through the shorter way. Because when I have to go through trials and troubles, I come out stronger and able to fight. Father, I know that my big dreams will come. And I also know that my own stubbornness gets me into trouble, but You use my people and my stubbornness to teach me lessons. I pray that I would not spend the rest of my life trying to take care of myself, but I want to obey You and see what it is like for You to take care of me. I pray that when fear is screaming at me, I would press through. I know that when I feel like I just can't take it anymore , something great will happen. I want to fight the good fight of faith. I know that I can't run from You, Lord, or what You tell me to do. I also know that doubt is the friend of fear. With You on my side, who shall I fear? I am thankful that You have a better opinion of me than I have of myself. Thank You that You have Your eye on me. I pray that I would continue to take one step after another and do it in fear if I have to until I press through the fear. Because I know my payday is coming. You are my rewarder. You see in secret and reward in the open. Thank You.
AMEN
