Father God,
I pray for Wisdom and self-control, because they help me to understand wise words. I pray that I would be honest, fair and right. I want to be smarter and have knowledge and sense. I want to be a wise person who listens and learns. And I know that knowledge begins with respect for You. I pray that I would listen when I am corrected. That I would know what is in Your heart and what You are thinking. I want to pay attention when You hold out Your hand and follow Your advise. When I am in trouble, when disaster strikes me like a storm, when trouble strikes me like a whirlwind, when pain and trouble overwhelm me, I call to You; I look for You; I respect You and I accept Your advice and correction. I pray that by listening to You I will live in safety and be at peace and without fear. I cry out for Wisdom and beg for understanding. Then I will understand what is honest and fair and what is good and the right thing to do. I pray that Wisdom will come into my mind, and knowledge is pleasing to me. I pray that good sense will protect me and that understanding will guard me. Father, I do not want to forget Your teaching, but keep Your commands in mind. Then I know I will live a long time and my life will be successful. I never want to forget kindness and truth. Then I will be respected and will please both You and people. I trust You with all my heart and I don't depend on my own understanding. I keep You in mind whatever I am dong and You give me success. I cannot depend on my own wisdom. I respect You and refuse to do wrong. Then I know I will be healthy and by bones will be strong.
