Continual Devotion

Ref.: Proverbs 15:1-33

Father God,

I pray that I would always give a gentle answer to calm a person's anger, because wise people use knowledge when they speak. As a tree gives fruit, I will have healing words that give life. I will be a wise person who accepts correction, because I know that much wealth is in the house of a good person. I will use my words to spread knowledge and I will be an honest person, because Truth comes from an honest person and love from those who do what is right. I will bring happiness to others and make them smile, because a happy heart is like a continual feast. Father, I would rather be poor and live with respect for others, than to be wealthy and have much trouble. I want to be a person who controls my temper and stops a quarrel, an honest person whose life is like a smooth highway. I want to bring joy to my family, so I pray that my plans will not fail. Help me to receive good advice, because my plans will succeed with the advise of many. I know that people enjoy giving good advise, but I also know that saying the right word at the right time is so pleasing. I am a wise person whose life is getting better and better. I know, Father, that You are pleased with kind words and You hear the prayers of those who do right. So give me good news that makes me feel better and my happiness will show in my eyes. I listen for Your correction to improve my life and so I can live among the wise. I accept Your correction to gain understanding. My respect for You teaches me wisdom. I honor You and am humbled. AMEN
