The Master said that not a sparrow fall to the ground but the Father knoweth.
I am not compelled, I am only impelled. But that impelling becomes my innermost desire.
As long as i retain my conception of even individuality there can be no release from the conflict in relationship. So true meditation, true prayer, is to find out what is false, not merely concentrating on an idea while ignorant of the cause of conflict which continues to reign in and about me.
People repeat certain phrases which are called mantrims, by doing this we think we are meditating or praying, but this is merely self-hypnosis. Meditation is not devoted to an idea, and the worshiping of another is idolatrous and silly superstition. To be devoted to an idea, to a picture, is not meditation, it is merely an escape from oneself. It is perhaps a comforting escape, but still is an escape without understanding the world is the people and the people are the world; then I am the world.
